God Speaks to Pat . . . Again
Pat Robertson is reporting that God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in “mass killing” late in 2007.
“I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to be nuclear,” he said during his television show The 700 Club. “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that.” God also told him that the United States only feigns friendship with Israel and that American policies are pushing Israel toward “national suicide.”
Robertson has not always been correct in what has become a regular feature of his ministry. He predicted in January 2004, for example, that George Bush would “easily” win re-election. In 2005, Robertson predicted Bush would have victory after victory in his second term, including approval of his Social Security reform proposals. None of these proved true. Bush only narrowly won re-election, and victory after victory has certainly eluded the president, including Social Security reform which went nowhere.
Asked about that, Robertson said, “I have a relatively good track record. Sometimes I miss.”
All I can say is, for crying out loud, Pat, if God is going to talk just to you, couldn’t you at least take better notes?
