EnviroJustice Fiscal Sponsorship

Margaret Mead quoteAt the heart of EnviroJustice's mission is the notion that fundamental systemic change happens at the local, grassroots level. Many of these projects, be they neighborhood organizations created in response to a threat to their community, or a documentary film project that educates the public, are formed and energized by an individual or neighborhood organization and are too small or too new to have their non-profit charitable status recognized by the IRS. Projects which are temporary in nature may also be ideal candidates for fiscal sponsorship, because this allows the project to focus on achieving its program objectives rather than the administrative issues and costs inherent in forming and establishing a new non-profit corporation and seeking IRS recognition of charitable status.

Our services are modeled after for-profit business incubators. We offer strategic planning, management and fundraising assistance for qualifying organizations and projects.
