"The deepest meaning of praxis is love and justice"
So says Gustavo Gutierrez, the famous liberation theologian from Peru. Praxis is a transforming activity that is influenced and illumined by notions of justice and love.
Praxis is critical reflection and action, in the light of one's faith commitment, that grows out of and seeks to contribute to the transformation of society. It is the creation of a new way of being a community of faith, and the cultivation of a spirituality that is historically grounded in the world. It is through praxis that fundamental and profound change comes.
EnviroJustice promotes environmental justice through education, activism and mobilization from a progressive, faith-based perspective. There is much to be done, and we need your help. There are a number of ways in which you can take action to express your support and your faith commitment to environmental justice and to EnviroJustice.
As people of faith, individual action is a fundamental component of EnviroJustice activities. Around their communities, their nation, and the world, dedicated activists and community members support the environmental justice movement by writing letters, distributing information, contacting decision-makers, organizing demonstrations, and, when necessary, participating in nonviolent civil disobedience. EnviroJustice is involved in a number of projects that promote fundamental systemic change and environmental justice.
We also support the work of our coalition partners through articulation, dissemination, and integration of faith-based perspectives into education, activism and mobilization.
There are also a number of ways for individuals and groups such as yourself to get involved.

Contribute
EnviroJustice fills a critical need in bringing together environmental, social justice and faith-based communities in ways that strengthen them all. But to continue this crucial work, we need your support.
From producing documentary films highlighting the activities of faith-based groups working for environmental justice, in Mexico building houses for those displaced by maquiladoras, and in Northern California as a former naval weapons station full of toxics is slated for development in the backyard of John Muir, from organizing a coalition of faith-based and non-profit organizations to promote sustainable agriculture and non-GMO food products, to supporting and highlighting as coalition partners in the work being done by other like-minded organizations, your support will be essential to the cause.
Your online credit card donation will be processed through your choice of the Network for Good or PayPal secure servers. You can also make your contribution by phone or by mail, and the full value of your gift is tax-deductable.
There are also opportunities to make legacy gifts, in-kind contributions, as well as gifts of your time and talents.
